A blade, not a scrub, clears the surface.
A sterile surgical blade, held at a shallow angle, lifts away dead skin and fine facial hair in one pass. No chemical. No device. No downtime.
Book dermaplaning
What actually happens
We hold a sterile surgical blade at a shallow angle against the skin. Short, controlled strokes move it across the face.
Each stroke lifts away the outer layer of dead skin cells. It also removes the fine vellus hair — the soft, colorless hair some call peach fuzz.
One pass does it, with no chemical exfoliant and no device involved. This is mechanical exfoliation in the most literal sense: material is removed, not dissolved.

Who this suits
Dermaplaning suits skin that looks dull, flaky, or uneven in texture. It is a common pre-event choice, too.
With no vellus hair to catch it, makeup goes on noticeably smoother. We also pair it with another treatment on the same visit quite often.
Once the dead surface layer and fine hair are gone, serums and actives sink in better. We do not work over active acne breakouts, open lesions, or inflamed skin.
The blade needs a stable surface to work against.
What changes right afterward
Skin looks smoother and a little brighter right away. There is no redness, no peeling, and no limit on your day.
No chemical is involved, so nothing needs to be neutralized or washed off later. You can apply makeup the same day if needed.
The removed vellus hair grows back at its normal rate and texture. It does not come back thicker or darker — that is a common myth.
The house version is a six-step glow protocol. Enzyme peel, extractions, and NAD+ serums are included, not add-ons.
One test stroke along the jaw before the full pass — if the skin objects, we stop and change the plan.
Common questions
Does the hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?
No. The fine vellus hair grows back at its normal rate and texture. Shaving skin does not change the hair follicle itself. The thicker-hair idea is a common myth about this treatment.
Is dermaplaning safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Dermaplaning uses no chemicals and no devices. That makes it one of the treatments considered appropriate during pregnancy. Mention it at intake so we can confirm it fits your situation.
Can I wear makeup right after?
Yes. There is no downtime and no leftover product to work around. Makeup can go on right after your appointment if you have an event.
How does dermaplaning compare to microdermabrasion?
Both are mechanical exfoliation. Dermaplaning uses a blade and also removes fine facial hair. Microdermabrasion uses a device with an abrasive tip or crystal flow. It covers a broader area at a similar surface depth.
How often should I book dermaplaning?
Every three to four weeks is typical. That roughly matches the skin's natural cell turnover cycle. We may suggest a different interval for your skin type.
