What actually happens
You leave with skin that feels comfortable instead of tight, and looks brighter the same day. Most of that is water put back into skin that stopped holding it.
The Skin Read comes first: a set of questions about what changed — sun, new products, sleep, a medication, menopause — then a meter that measures the oil, elasticity and water in your skin. That read sets the cleanser, the exfoliant and the actives.
Actives are the working ingredients that change skin: acids, vitamin A, vitamin C. Nothing runs at full strength on skin that has gone thin.
Who this suits
Most first-time clients start here. It is also where we decide what comes next.
Sometimes a more specific treatment — HydraFacial, microneedling, or a medical-grade facial — will serve a concern better than a repeat of this one. If so, we say it.
This facial suits skin that is dehydrated, congested, dull, or stressed by the season. It is also the treatment we adjust most often mid-visit, when the Skin Read turns up something you didn't mention.
What changes between visits
The facial comes from a Skin Read, not a fixed menu item. So two visits three months apart can look quite different.
After a summer of sun, we may focus on hydration. Heading into a drier season, we may work on texture and buildup instead.
We keep notes across visits. You never have to re-explain your skin history — your record travels with you.
The menu runs from the Classic 9-Layer and the Oxygen Facial to the Bella Royale Lift and the Time Machine. All of it sits on the same read-first standard.

Common questions
How is a custom facial different from a standard spa facial?
A standard facial follows one fixed protocol, no matter whose skin is on the table. A custom facial at Bella Reina starts with the Skin Read: a set of questions, then a meter that measures the oil, elasticity and water in your skin. The cleansers, exfoliants, and actives all come from that read — not a set menu.
Do I need to know which facial to book?
No. Book the custom facial, and we choose the protocol during your Skin Read. If your skin needs something more specific — HydraFacial, microneedling — we will tell you. Then you decide from there.
Is there any downtime after a custom facial?
None. You can go back to work, to an event, or out to lunch straight after. Skin may look a little flushed for an hour, depending on how the read shaped the hour. Makeup the same day is fine.
Can this be done as part of an oncology-safe protocol?
Yes. Every esthetician on staff trains in oncology-safe protocol. We also stock formulas without emulsifiers, made for fragile or in-treatment skin — just ask. Mention your history at intake so the Skin Read accounts for it.
How often should I book a custom facial?
Most clients return every four to six weeks. That matches the skin's natural renewal cycle. If your skin would do better on a different interval, we will say so at your visit.
